CSM In The City Drinks Reception

On Wednesday 23 August, alumni of the Camborne School of Mines (“CSM”), along with members of the mining community, attended a drinks reception in the City hosted by Blytheweigh (“Bw”), the University of Exeter and Gowling WLG (“Gowling”).

The event was hosted at Gowling’s rooftop events space with spectacular views of Tower Bridge, offset by London’s iconic skyline… thankfully the rain held off! A very merry evening was met by plentiful bite size refreshments and complimented with a wide selection of beverages.

Professor Kip Jeffrey, Head of the Camborne School of Mines, enlightened the audience with encouraging developments from CSM as well as highlighting a number of recent developments in the mining industry. There was a particular focus on recent developments in the UK mining industry and the importance of attracting the next generation of bright young graduates to help advance modern mining attitudes.
