22 September 2016
On 22nd September Blytheweigh (“Bw”) put on its annual African Dinner held in the Garden Room at the Reform Club. Each year we team up with a different company, and in 2016 we had Strand Hanson as our partners and kind sponsors of the event. The guests were a mix of city professionals all with an interest in mining in Africa and we were delighted to have the Director of The Centre for the Study of African Economies, Professor Paul Collier CBE, at the event to say a few words.
The evening bought up some interesting topics and it was good to hear a well-rounded debate from individuals from a variety of business areas, all with different experiences of doing business in Africa. However, since the event is always held on the basis of ‘Chatham House Rule’, we are unable to expand further.
We look forward to hosting another event in 2017.
