The Blytheweigh Mining Team attends the PDAC conference, Toronto
The Blytheweigh (“Bw”) Mining Team’s feet didn’t seem to touch the ground from Cape Town before some of them were back at Heathrow heading off to Toronto for PDAC. With weather averaging -3 at that time of year, the meetings held a couple of weeks earlier around pool sides, with sunglasses and flip flops were being replaced with warm coats, hats and gloves.
As always, a few of Bw’s joint listed clients joined the team out there – Mariana Resources, Serabi Gold and Strongbow Exploration as well as Pembridge Resources, formerly China Africa Resources, now forming a mining investment vehicle.
It is the largest mining conference in the world and anyone who has been will tell you what a vast and impressive set up PDAC is, being meticulously efficient and organised even the team managed to find their way around the huge auditoriums and mass of people rushing from one meeting to another. The team spent the majority of their days listening to lectures, meeting clients and winning some new business. With sentiment generally more positive in Canada, there were many speakers encouraging investors to get involved at the start of this bull market.
