DiamondCorp plc is an emerging diamond producer focused on maximising shareholder value through the development of high-margin diamond production assets. The company is incorporated in the UK, and operates in the long established diamondiferous regions of South Africa.

Formed in March 2005, the company raised approximately £9.3 million in pre-IPO financing, which was used to acquire a 74% interest in the Lace diamond project in South Africa’s Free State province and constructed a 1.6 million tonne per annum Dense Media Separation (DMS) diamond recovery plant.

DiamondCorp plc listed on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange on 1 February 2007 under the share code DCP, raising an additional £2 million of net cash for working capital. In March 2008 DiamondCorp listed on the main board of the JSE Limited.

The aim of DiamondCorp is to build the company into a sustainable diamond mining and exploration business, firstly from the Lace Diamond Mine, and later from any new operations that may arise.
