Like so many people in PR, I stumbled into the profession by chance. My first public relations job was at Broadgate Marketing, a financial services PR and digital communications agency based in London, where I worked on clients such as Baillie Gifford, and HSBC Republic. I loved the diversity of the role as well as the camaraderie of working as part of a small team. I went on to join Parkgreen Communications, where I stayed for six years and gained extensive experience within the SME market across a wide range of sectors, including, gaming, financial services and insurance, although my main focus in the last few years has been within the mining sector.

It was a great time to be involved in the mining sector, as it enjoyed a long-awaited boom. I represented clients at industry conferences like Indaba and took part in a number of site visits, the first one being with International Ferro Metals in South Africa and the last with BDI Mining in Indonesia...ferrochrome to alluvial diamonds!

During my time at Parkgreen I advised clients on IPOs, fund raisings, M&A projects as well as long term profile raising campaigns. I started a family in 2007 and took time off to spend time with my little girl.

Returning to work, I wanted to join a business which had ambitious plans and where I could help shape the direction and strategy of the organisation. I’m delighted to have joined Blythe Weigh Communications at such an exciting stage in the company’s development. I will keep my focus on mining, minerals and utilities but am looking forward to working in new sectors as well. We will develop the company’s ethos of providing an individual and senior approach to our clients, whilst delivering measurable results.
